Everyday Gestures consists of an ongoing series of small pencil and pencil crayon drawings, collages and watercolours as well as painting on canvas. The series makes reference to the overlooked and can be seen as individual drawings or as part of a larger collective. Made one at a time, spontaneously from a blank page,sometimes in reference to dreams, photographs and lived experiences, these various fragments provide glimpses of an inner dialogue over time, often in reference towards the history of painting and drawing and daily life and offer colour and painting as a site for repair.
